Follow up piece (in spirit) to this
Really, I like how the triadic color scheme makes the piece feel so... classic! Y'know? Also really enjoyed how the relationship between these two is conveyed through the expressions, through their postures, through the subtle (or not so subtle) foot gesture. The Lamp also came out reallly nice, and overall I'm very satisfied with the lighting.
This is probably the best I can ask of the painterly style. I wish I weren't so fickle, and I'd just pick one approach and stick with it... but it's hard! There are just so many things to learn and know, so many interesting things in the world. I would experiment forever, if it weren't for my desire to give you guys a consistent illustration style.
