previous [link] first [link] This isn't a four panel. This is a six panel. Cuz I like it that way. Seriously now. Some of my favorite Calvin and Hobbes strips were three panels, or two panels, or five panels. And on a very rare occassion Mr. Watterson would have an open 'moment' at the end. When I was drafting the idea for this conversation, I sketched out the expressions and general motions as the conversation took its course. By the end there were over a half-dozen panels I'd drawn out and more I could extrapolate on. I tried to pare it down but it didn't have the same panache. I wanted there to be this moment between the two of them, a silence for Mars to reflect, and act. While it isn't a Sunday comic, and it's not quite a normal strip, I hope you enjoy it none the less. After all, life isn't always funny, or cruel, or ironic. It can be kindhearted from time to time, and I like to remember and remind people of that. So thanks for stoppin by! ~Gear Here's to you |

Six panels? I think it makes the timeing on this work quite well, and it's a nice change up from the previous 4-panel.

Now if only our main character were really a girl ...
this would even be sweeter.
You handled this scene well. Great job!
And to think that at the beginning of this date, Noah had told him to go *&%$# himself...
By the time Noah truly learns his lesson, I hope he maintains this relationship regardless of his clothing and outward lifestyle.
I also notice that Ribs has not bothered to interfere throughout this *comeuppance* since the bathroom. Right now this is pure 'no(ah)el'.
