This is the last official strip of Material Girl.

It's hard for me to express my feelings as Material Girl draws to a close. I've been blessed with just over a year getting to know Noah and the rest, and also, all the awesome people who have followed along...

A mixture of excitement and loss.

Still, there will be an epilogue. ^_^ So don't worry! There's still a bit more to this story. But only a bit.

Material Girl will be published in the near future. Watch for a journal update.

Also: I've been out of town for the past week, and working on extremely minimal internet access. I will get to all the comments, but sometime next week when I return.

I feel as if I missed something but I still find myself enjoying this comic. If you do get this in print, I will be one of the first to order it. (or first 100, you're pretty popular ^_^)

I'll be sure to purchase a copy once it is published.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end, but this is a fact of life.

I once heard that something that makes a good character is growth and development, and I love these sorts of scenes where it goes back to a scene from the start and shows how much has changed with that character (or characters) over the course of the story.

Noah really has grown a lot over the duration of this comic, and it's been a pleasure to watch that development.

I also just noticed what's hanging from Noah's choker... Nice touch there.

Ok seriously, just got really depressed thinking about it going away.

I did not know how attached to Noah I had become.

I originally started reading this comic because I was attracted to the crossdressing aspect...but Noah really has become one of my favorite webcomic hero(ine)s while I've been reading it. The story you've told really has been amazing, and emotional, and I'm going to be very sorry to see it go. I'm going to miss seeing Noah immensely.

I understand the feeling. You get to know these amazing people that somehow came out of your mind, at least at the beginning. Then all of a sudden, it's like a friend moving away. You know they're there, but you can't see them as easily, it's hard to keep in contact with them, but you can always remember the amazing time you had with them. Material Girl and everything with Noah and Mars will be like that for all of us, writer and reader. It is a fantastic story, about a maturing young man who comes to understand many things. But I believe that good stories never end, they are simply repeatedly re-read, beginning again and again, but never ending. Thank you for everything you've written, it is a wonderful story.

For some reason, the concept of a straight white male who supports gay rights, women rights, and adheres to his own code of chivalrous behaviour while thinking women should be as independent as they want is strange to some people...

ah, touching. Thanks Heartgear for a great story. It was fun. I know it's still got a few left but it is nice to see it full circle back to the gypsy lady.
