I finished this early, of course, and decided to go on and start the next page. I really liked how Riena's hair came out in this one, and wanted to ride the success of that into the next page. But I hit a total wall. At this point continuing with the minute details of Riena's capture felt sort of... tedious. It's been fun, even necessary to give the capture sequence some space to breathe but really ever since Heart's ankles were tied it's been a pretty one-sided fight. And nothing is quite so boring as a one-sided fight. Time to move along.
But the next part meant I'd have to draw a male character. I don't hate drawing male characters... quite the opposite, I think drawing a male character can be quite tasty. But at the heart of it I'm just not as practiced with the male form, and I felt a bit intimidated. After sort of avoiding starting the next page for most of the evening, I realized what it was: I didn't know what the heck Riena's boyfriend... or I'm calling him her semi x-boyfriend looked like. And I think the mix of not having a design and feeling that lack of confidence was getting in the way of getting it on.
So anyway, I'll be posting sort of a "Double update" tonight. I had hoped to have the next page after this roughed in, but instead I spent the time just designing a character sheet for Semi-X. It's sort of pointless in a way, he'll only be featured for like.. a single page. But it's a practice I want to get in for all the characters, and I think it's a good starting point.
Anyhow, thanks to my Patreon Supporters who are allowing me to work full-time 3/4s of every month on SL! I hesitate to call this a "Super Update" because it's sort of divided in two, but it's essentially that.
