Heya Cuties!

This week we'll be talking about:
1.)  Penguicon!
2.)  Patreon Changes
3.)  Suspicious Links Tropes Page =3, and

4.)  My top 5 DiD artists on DA!

Penguicon

For anyone in the southeastern MI area, come out and see me this weekend at Penguicon!  It's a great open source con and one of my favorites cuz it's super chill and hella interesting.  I'll be hosting three panels this year:   Intro to Comics (Fri 7p), Flash Comics! (Sat 11a), and Crowd/Alternatively Funding your Career (Sun 11a).

Hope to see you there!

Patreon Changes

There are two areas of Patreon I will be changing in the near future:  the $20/30 tiers and the next funding goal.

As for changing the $20/30 tiers, I have plans to make this a tier where you can insert your characters into Rapture, SL, and other things that I work on.  I'm still working out the kinks but I should have an official announcement by the next HeartBeat.

Also, I'd like to thank all my wonderful backers who have helped us surpass my final funding goal of $1750 a month.   Thank you SO MUCH everyone!   You're just amazing =

I've been thinking "where do we go from here?" ever since, and I've decided the next logical step is to start the process of building a creative team.   My dream from the start has been to make a small studio of say 3-5 people, Clamp style, where we could be producing a lot of amazing work at a lot faster pace than any of us could do on our own.   The other team members I would be interested in would be:

Colorist/Animator, Programmer/Website manager, Legal/Biz/Social type person.

Of those types of people, which do you think would be most useful to look for first?
Depending on how things go, I'll release the next funding goal soon; targeted at one of these areas.

Suspicous Links Tropes Page!

One of my rockstar followers has put together a Suspicious Links Tropes Page!   I LOVE these kinds of things!   For all those who are into the TVTropes community, I'd love to see this page continue to be fleshed out!  If you have a moment, why not stop by and put in your own two cents ^ ~

Thanks again Casey!

aaaand now, for the fun bit!

Top 5 DiD Artist on DA

*disclaimer!   These aren't necessarily the most skilled DiD artists on DA, and there are a ton of people I'd love to mention like LoZ, Cao, Karyu, Tooooony, Rocatr, Yes-I-DiD, faile35.... the list goes on!  These are just 5 people I draw a lot of my inspiration from.   That said, lets get into it!

Natalia color by snowking68

5.)  Snowking68
While I do think Snowking has a lot of growing to do as an artist, I love the sensitivity of Snow's linework and the general energy of their work!  Plus, they like to play around with a number of different styles and approaches, which is a trait I can totally sympathize with.

Conveyor and Belts by we-r-nomad
4.)  we-r-nomad
If it wasn't obvious, Nomad's kink work has been a huge inspiration to me.   The way that he built a whole world around the kink aspect is fun.  Add to that, his amazing talent for rendering latex and outstanding draftsmanship and I find myself coming back to him again and again.

Stuck Together by jam-orbital

3.)  jam-orbital
When I think of orbital I think of one word:  POLISH.   All of orbital's work is so tight... and not just in the bondage sense!   Jam also has this great sense of volume and like... how the bindings actually pull at the body.

2.) k1j
k1j's work is crazy rough, but I sort of love that about it!   It has this, small-time shoujo feel with how loose the linework is and how simple the coloring approach is handled.   What I like most about k1j's work though, is the posing and life of the damsels!   There's also a sweetness to it that is right in line with my sensibilities.

Angela's Magic Lesson - A Little Trim by Mr-DNA
1.) Mr-DNA
While not exclusively a bondage artist, Mr-DNA has been an incredible resource for kink material in general.   The bombastic nature of his characters and aesthetic is a delight to look at, and his transformation sequences are nothing short of pure joy.   An accomplished artist in his own right, I find his work is fascinating for both the ideas, and execution, of great damsel fun!

And that's all!   What do you think?   What bondage/kink artists do you find yourself going to again and again and why?

And as always, thanks for stopping by!  ^_~
